Professor Heikki Lyytinen was a featured speaker at the 2nd European Summit on Paediatrics, Neonatology & Nursing, held on April 06–07, 2026, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where his talk focused on “Overcoming problems children face in acquiring sufficient skills for learning through reading.”
In his presentation, Professor Lyytinen shared key insights into reading difficulties and effective, research-based interventions. Drawing on the Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Dyslexia, he highlighted preventive approaches and introduced digital tools such as the Comprehension Game, which enhances reading comprehension, and Tale Reader, which supports the development of reading skills, and how these can be used to improve learning.
